Meet Bentley

Meet Bentley

I have no idea what he is, except a dog, of course. I rescued him from a permanent visit from the pound to dog heaven. Apparently, his life on this planet was not so great, but he seems to be getting along pretty well with the rest of us now. He is beginning to trust. Lylah was my greatest concern. It took her a while to accept him. Life is grand.

Here's Lylah.......

  2. They are very affectionate, but Bentley has to get to know you. We were told he was abused as a pup. He has a great life now!

  3. Good for you rescuing a dog from a pound; you never know quite what you're going to get! But I imagine you have the patience to make it work..

Lyla is gorgeous, I love the dark haired Retrievers. When I was showing Django (Pointer) there were always lots of pale ones around but the dark ones stood out for me.

  4. Juniper: Yes, she is fantastic. She is down to 100 pounds and fit. Goldens are about as good as they get. In any event, Bentley is very happy in our family. He make a great addition, but you are right. One needs patience.

  7. Both of your dogs are beautiful!

Bentley's eyes have volumes of words in them. Could be that I am influenced by his story? More the pose he takes in the photo is what whispers of it.

    Lucky, all of you!

  8. Bentley is one of the most affectionate animals I have ever had as a family member. Over time, I am sure he will acquire some better social skills, since he spends most of the day with my wife. I did.
