  1. Oh, I thought you were starting a liars book.

    1. Manzie: No. It has obviously been written before.

  2. Dang, that's a scary bunch you put up there. It's sickening that positions which should be held by honorable people are sullied by such awful people.

    1. Jennifer: Perhaps, I should have entitled this post "A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words.

  3. I like that idea and perhaps A Picture is Worth a Thousand Thoughts! As I was viewing each photo, it occurred to me how each one brought tremendous feelings right to the surface. Then I immediately thought, yep, I'd rather be viewing flowers or better yet dogs and happy, smiling faces on this Saturday morning! My birthday was on Thursday, and I have one of my sweet, little munchkins staying with me until this evening, and once she wakes up, it's going to be girl's day out and about, enjoying our world together!

    1. Karen: Happy Birthday! I am sorry to have hit you with this post. I would also rather spend my days with dogs. Best to you.

  4. I am not sure what I was expecting. I saw the picture of Eric Holder and I suppose I thought you were going to post another one of your tongue-in-cheek blogs on the State of Affairs (especially since it was titled Confidence). Then I kept scrolling and the pictures kept coming and my stomach started turning and... well, I guess that says it all, no?

    1. Robin: I only entitled it "Confidence" so people would read it. Nobody wants to read political posts, even if you don't write anything! That says it all, yes.

  5. When I got to the Preamble, I thought all Americans have been and still are a very confident people. Confidence is in our culture. It came over with Columbus on the Pinta, the Nina and the Santa Maria. And later on the Mayflower. Brave lads and lasses all, ancestors of those who fought and beat the best trained army and navy in the world and then sat down and wrote the Preamble.

    1. Linda: And you would be right. However, not all Americans "still" feel that way. Many believe our founding principles are being violated by our leaders, who appear to be more focused on politics and ideology than the principles set forth in the Preamble. If government usurps power from the people, our Constitution will fail. This is definitely not the most transparent administration in history. I think my mother said it best. "Honesty is the best policy."

  6. I had about the same reaction as Robin. My heart just sunk lower and lower with each photo. I can only say that the best thing to come from all this garbage we are going through right now is that some people who thought these were once good leaders are starting to see the error of their ways. I wish I didn't have to hear so much that people were fooled and are now scared to death, but I guess it's better late than never!
My actual thought bubble in my head from this post was: 'Heaven Help Us!'
