Kiss Those Kids You Love So Much

asshole

Millions of Americans have died to preserve the human freedoms we enjoy. These were people with mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and children.

Those among us without fame who find it popular to spew Hollywood anti-American phrases in the name of cool or political correctness might want to take a second look at what some have done with what they were given.

I would ask anyone reading this to examine your souls before responding. Go back in your minds as far as the 1960s and ask yourselves, “Who is responsible for this?” If it happens to be you, just think about your values in life as you are raising your children and grandchildren. What kind of world did you create? What kind of America are you in the process of creating for them?

Rapper, Lil Wayne, has made it clear as to how he feels about the country many still love and many have died defending. In his new video, this human being, who has raised an estimated $95 million on the backs of his fans, produced his latest song, "God Bless Amerika." During his “performance,” he rapped and danced on Old Glory strewn on the ground. His lyrics were equally impressive: "My country 'tis of thee / Sweet land of kill 'em all and let 'em die."

In a nation where freedom allows the likes of South Korean PSY to rap about American soldiers with lyrics such as “Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law, and fathers;
Kill them all slowly and painfully,” and follow it up with an invitation to the White House, where American school children can no longer visit, something is terribly wrong.

I believe we should spend some taxpayer dollars to send the likes of Lil Wayne to the communist country of his choice. Perhaps he and PSY could dance together on the North Korean flag. To those among us who are so cool and misguided as to still believe these demonstrations to simply be Constitutional expressions of freedom, I wish you well in your new world. Be sure to turn off Lil Wayne and kiss your children before they retire to their warm beds each evening. As for me, I am sure they deserve more than the world you have created for them.

  1. I have no problem with these people having the freedom to spout their poison, my problem is with all the people who listen.

If an asshole spouts garbage and no one is listening, does he make a sound?

    1. joeh: I think most Americans would agree. Yet, most Americans don't seem to vote. Thus, we watch helplessly while they desecrate our flag.

  2. You are absolutely right JJ. Only when you live in a really free and great country such as the USA one can behave like that. What I do not understand is why this kind of people do not go to live their lives in one of those countries they seem to admire because life is "better" than in the US or in other free democratic countries. North Korea is a good option, but there are many others!
In my country we have a popular expression that fits well here: "God gives the nuts to those that do not have teeth!" (I do not know if this makes sense in English, but I think it is understandable.

  3. I think that rappers like Lil Wayne are just stupid. They are so busy propping up their Image that they don't even realize what they look and sound like to Normal People. Now Psy is a different story. That Communist is laughing at us and taking our money. They both have every right to behave as they do. (We are still free... for now.) It is the people who pay them that make me want to vomit. And the people that teach their children that being anti-American is cool. Of course, when Hellfire rains down on them, they will be the first to scream for help and expect a Policeman, Fireman, or Soldier to come to their aid. The hypocrisy is what gets me.

  5. I can never get over how someone stupid enough to put ugly tattoos all over his face while in the joint is now supposed to be some kind of super star. It's obvious that his stupidity didn't end with the facial tattoos...
And as for Psy- nobody will listen to me when I tell them about his previous anti-American rantings. People just want to check out and party, and honestly it makes me sick.
As it seems I will still be here in the Northwest for awhile, I'm going to be looking more actively for opportunities to spend time with others who are interested in working on grass roots changes right where I am. It seems like the right thing to do.

  6. Oh gee you really opened a loaded can of worms! I could list chapters, of my thoughts on all this. But I'll just use one example. As a child I thought my mother was being silly making such a big deal over people wearing clothes that looked like the American flag. Sadly, it was the beginning of disrespect, and everyday it seems we fall further and deeper in a hole of no return. There was a day when stomping/hurting/burning/etc. of our flag would cost a person, with fines or worse. It should still be that way. Too bad someone with all that money can't learn to spell right! Ha! Ha! But the joke is on every single person that's out there buying his trash.

    1. Karen: I agree. I remember when Republicans and Democrats were all Americans who wanted the best for our country. Today, they have been replaced with self-consumed politicians. That's why I remain Independent and vote for the best American-minded candidates. It is all about our children!

  7. Hi, JJ.

Touche' Alex! I couldn't agree more. IT is a sad world we live in. People are TOO wrapped up in THEIR lives to realize this CRAP is going on... Too many ostrich heads in the sand. We ALL NEED to be MORE AWARE! And NOT listen to this STUPIDITY.

  8. The Bill of Rights makes rants like these okay, allows the KKK to hold a parade down main street USA, allows us to speak out, write and voice our dissatisfactions no matter how crudely in public places, allows us to own guns.

During Vietnam War I can remember being angry with the rioting college students and the draft card burners while other young men were dying over there. I hated the flower children and LBJ's nuclear bomb campaigne commercial. I disliked the government for getting us into the conflict and then not supporting the soldiers with all the weaponry we could send their way. I voted for Berry Goldwater; I was a hawk/he was a hawk. I'm still hawkish on some subjects like these guys who trash the country that gives them the right to spew out their venomous dribble. But, I do think we want to hold on to the Bill of Rights. So I do what I can do. I stay informed. I vote. I write letters to editors and my congressmen. I talk to my children all the time about all the issues. And send my dissastisfaction to the theaters and record companies that put such trash in the public eye because they are controversial and will make them a fortune for being controversial. The public eats up bad boys.

    2. Aint that the truth--I think it's Andy Warhol's fault with his fifteen minutes of fame. The planet is so over populated and crowded with folks all wanting the same thing, (sustenance), that they resort to the worst ways to draw attention to themselves, to make themselves stand out from the crowd. And the crowd eats it up no doubt due to the shocking nature of the wannabee's behavior.

"I don't care how you talk about me, just that you talk about me." Is an adage I've heard often. Then there's my friend who said, "It doesn't matter who you know, it matter's who knows you." Everybody is looking for fame and fortune and many are crawling over the backs of others to get it.

Your post contributed to further exposure of these trashy guys. It will become a cross reference just because you mentioned their names. By lambasting them, you too have "eaten up" these guys--drawn attention to them--and the public just loves a juicy story. And so it goes in the public arena.

  9. It is absolutely frightening what these so-called role models are able to get away with. The hypocrisy of being invited to the White House is astounding.
