Definitely NOT Politics

Before you feel the need to spout off political ideological talking points, consider this.

The following is posted on the government Amber Alert Website:

But don’t worry. The Post Office, which lost $14 Billion last year, will remain open. It could be privatized, but that would just produce huge profits for fat cats. That is capitalism and should not be tolerated.
I have not completed my research on the Senate Barber Shop.

    1. EG: Yup. I feel I could straighten out our national problems in a heartbeat. I am not alone in this country, so I would have to allow for and respect the ideas of others.

  2. JJ, doesn't this make you think that if YOU could straighten out these problems that MOST of our elected officials could, too???? And if that is the case, we need to look a bit deeper. If they COULD but they WON'T than that means someone is benefiting from running the U.S. economy into the ground. When you peel that back and see who benefits, you get your answer. It always comes down to WHO BENEFITS.

I read an article that the President was trying to close the oceans. Didn't want fisherman out there catching fish and making a living. Was this because the rangers had been furloughed and couldn't help them dock their vessels? Nope. He wanted them on the job patrolling to make sure no one was on the ocean. In other words, more manpower would be required to keep people from making a living on the ocean than before the Shutdown. This is about inflicting as much pain as possible. Who is benefiting from that????

Hint: The people printing the money always have the most to gain or lose. The Federal Reserve has been running this country since it was Unconstitutionally implemented to oversee our currency. Everything that happens now and in the future (as well as the past) is tied to building their financial and power base. When the dollar loses its power in the worldwide marketplace (and it will), then the International Bankers who run the Federal Reserve will make this as painful as possible. More painful than the Great Depression. People will be begging the government to throw out our Constitution and throw in with One World Government. Please... anything to stop the pain. Right now we are getting a tiny taste of the pain... and look how quickly we are begging for it to end. This is nothing. Just wait until they decide to drop the hammer.

Yes, you could straighten it out. They can straighten it out. The thing is that they don't want to... or have been given Marching Orders not to. All of this party politics is a front so that no one looks at the Wizard Behind The Curtain. If we did, the people would have a common enemy and could band together, setting aside party affiliation. By keeping up this "show" between Democrats and Republicans, most people don't look and they can continue to run things very effectively (to their way of thinking). And Democrats and Republicans will continue to fight about who is right and wrong on Facebook, Twitter, and in person. And the real Powers That Be go about their business. And their business is taking over the finances of the whole world... and the power that goes with it. The only thing standing in their way is our Constitution. So, if you are thinking like them... how do you inflict enough pain to make people WANT to throw it out???? And now you are thinking like the people who actually run this country.

I apologize that my comment was longer than your post. You aren't the only person frustrated...

    1. Robin: Frustration, indeed. I don't have all the answers, but I do have some. I can think of a dozen ways to provide affordable insurance to the minority of Americans that don't have it now. I can think of dozens of ways to cut the fat out of the budget. I can think of a zillion ways to cut the deficit without throwing old ladies off a cliff. What I cannot do is think of even one legitimate reason to redistribute wealth in order to change American society from free market capitalism to Marxist socialism.

  3. " I would have to allow for and respect the ideas of others." Then you are clearly not a politician!

  4. We live in a subdivision where the mailboxes are all grouped for certain areas, rather than having a mailbox in each yard. Twice now, I've received a "Sorry we missed you" notice in my mailbox on days when either I or my husband were home ALL DAY. They don't even try to knock. So I have to go 10 minutes out of my way to the post office and wait in line to get my package. Meanwhile UPS/FedEx bring the package to the door and ring the doorbell. My husband suggested I complain, so I did, and was met with the postal clerk's look that pretty much said, "Why are you bothering me with this information?"

    1. Stephanie: It is happening to everyone. This is the nonsense Americans should not have to deal with daily. It is fixable, but probably discriminatory against people without mailboxes!

  5. Of course it can all be fixed and of course there are so many things we are still wasting money on. You should see the faces of those who declare they want money for this or that cause and I just tell them that all the money they need is already there. And then I list a few things that our money is wasted on every day in American government.
Frustrated is where we need to be in order to get anything moving. I just don't know what level of frustration we have to hit. It's funny- this time around I'm hardly paying attention to the latest government fiasco. I just take care of me and mine- and try not to be as selfish as our president.
We all have a life to live and deserve to do so with as much freedom as we can get.

  6. I'm with you.... There are others out there.... Frustrated...wishing we could pull back the curtain and expose what's really going on.... Before its too late... But the spiral has begun. Is it too late already?

    1. Donna: Definitely not. Education is the answer, but our schools are teaching with a slanted political ideology. When I taught high school years ago, I presented both sides of everything and let students do research and draw their own conclusions. I was not the norm. There is too much ideological brainwashing today. 14 year olds are talking about the benefits of Communism and Socialism, and many of them have no parents to guide them. Nevertheless, as soon as it hits their pocketbooks, people will come around.

    1. You hit it on the head with this particular comment. I DO still believe that Americans are exceptional and WILL fight back when things get really bad. I don't know if I''ll truly feel sympathy for those who end up sitting back and relying on the government to take care of them, but I do know I won't regret not having spent my life worrying about every little move this overbearing government is taking.
You can count on me to be there when I need to be- my participation in local politics is sometimes frustrating and sometimes shocking to outsiders. I just have to be careful not to waste my energies on worthless political games.

  9. Looks like your readers have pretty much covered what I was going to say. What is most depressing to me is the awful, vindictive, dishonest people who occupy positions the Founders meant for honorable statesmen who simply wanted to serve their country. What we have now are people so removed from the day to day of those of us out here in flyover country that they really have no idea how to govern, only how to further their careers. Makes me sick.
